MENTAL HEALTH
Now would be a good time to explore your mind,
And examine all of the wonderful thoughts we find.
But first, let’s get rid of all of the mental rust,
Clean out the cobwebs and get rid of the dust.
And don’t spend too much time walking down memory lane,
Some of the memories might bring back long-ago pain.
Think of right now: your family, your friends, and your whole neighbourhood,
Get re-connected and do your mental health a whole lot of good.
Your mind is a part of a wonderful web, and we’re all connected,
And if you have just one negative thought, that has to be corrected.
Your mind works best when you meet face to face;
That’s the way communication between kids should mostly take place.
You can’t sit around waiting with a blank stare,
Good mental health won’t just appear out of thin air.
You have to work at it, fight for it, do all that you must,
To clear out the cobwebs and get rid of the dust.
So get off the phone, get rid of your device,
And when you talk face to face, always say something nice.
Then you will get a friendly reply as you and your friends are out walking,
And you will be a happy kid once again, just hugging and talking.
