CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS

People walk down the sidewalk and don’t watch where they are going,
And if you’re in the way, they have no intentions of slowing.
They just bump into you and push you out of the way,
Maybe it’s their way of saying, “Have a nice day.”

It’s not just happening here; it’s happening across the nation,
And it’s spreading around the world — “the lack of consideration.”
People everywhere seem to be in such a big hurry,
And if they push you out of the way, they don’t have time to worry.

They just keep pushing ahead and getting done what needs to be done,
And when it comes to being considered, they think they are number one!
It’s getting to be a rude and cruel world, and not a nice place to be living,
So we have to learn to be more gentle and a lot more forgiving.

So quit trying to always come out on top,
For the sake of everyone, this has to stop.
Remember, this isn’t just your world; it’s not all about you.
People want to be considered, because they live here too.
