COMMON SENSE

If you’re in an argument, don’t get frustrated and tense,
Settle the argument with plain common sense.
Start by listening to the neighbour’s point of view,
And common sense will help you decide what to do.

Now the solution may not always be precise and exact,
But that’s how common sense people will act.
If you’re in line at the check-out, don’t get angry and argue,
With the person in line, whose right ahead of you.

What’s the sense in arguing over who got there first,
And rattle on until you’re both ready to burst?
Treat others the way you want to be treated,
Don’t argue and end up being self-defeated.

Stand in line and ask, “How are the kids?”
It’s much better than both of you yelling and flipping your lids.
And especially in the schoolyard, this is good advice:
Always show kindness and say things that are nice.
