RESILIENCE
When you say that from now on, I’m going to be resilient,
That’s not just being smart, that’s being brilliant.
Resilient people bend under pressure, they don’t break,
And for those that stand rigid — that’s a common mistake.
Troubles can come in bunches, and can come from out of nowhere,
But people with resilience don’t easily scare.
They may have to pull back when things go wrong,
But that’s part of resilience; that’s what makes them so strong.
They wait until the storms have all blown away,
Then they can come back and carry on the very next day.
You may look to others for help, but you still rely on number one,
To make sure that the important things really get done.
When troubles pile up and you’re in distress,
You know you can rely on yourself to get out of that mess.
