FRIENDS: TRUE OR FALSE?

A true friend, through good times and tough times, will always remain,
But a false friend will only stay if they have something to gain.
A true friend, a light of your life, they are truly a gem,
But a false friend only wants to know what’s in it for them.

A false friend says, “Easy come, easy go,”
But if you need help, you’re one friend they don’t want to know.
When you need help, a true friend will always be there,
But a false friend will make up some excuse and disappear into thin air.

We all know false friends; we’ve seen them before,
So just wave goodbye and let them walk out the door.
But enough of false friends, enough of this idle chatter,
Because in the end, false friends really don’t matter.

But a true friend is a really big deal,
And they bring the happiness and contentment we all need to feel.
A true friend is one who will always look out for you,
I could use a friend like that, and maybe you could too.
