THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK
“You throw like a girl,” one of the boys said,
And all the boys laughed, but each girl instead
Pulled a sour face and gave a hard stare,
But if the boys noticed, they didn’t care.
They thought it was clever, they thought it was smart,
But that comment to the girls was like a punch to the heart.
It left the girls trembling, it left them in despair,
And if the boys noticed, they still didn’t care.
To the boys it was a case of easy come, easy go,
To the boys it was a joke, but to the girls it was a huge blow.
To the boys it meant nothing, it didn’t mean a thing,
But it gave the girls heartache, and made their ears ring.
You think what you say is a joke, but to some it’s abuse,
So learn to curb your tongue, don’t let it run loose.
